Effects of olive oil on the face

How good is olive oil for the skin? An oil can only be as good as its ingredients... Every single drop of high-quality olive oil is packed with essential nutrients for skin, body and hair:

  • Vitamin E : Regular external use of vitamin E is said to have a rejuvenating effect, reduce the effects of UV rays on the skin and free the face from emerging wrinkles.
  • Linoleic Acid : With the help of linoleic acid, the skin stays hydrated and supple. Linoleic acid is even said to have an anti-inflammatory effect and is used in the treatment of acne or psoriasis.
  • Chlorophyll : The natural phytochemical responsible for the green coloring of olive leaves and olives and is found primarily in unrefined olive oils made from olives harvested as early as possible. Also chlorophyll is said to have an antioxidant effect on the skin and body.
  • Polyphenols : Olive oils with a comparatively high polyphenol content can be described as beneficial to health. When applied externally, polyphenols tighten the tissue and thus join the fight against wrinkle formation as active allies.

Which oil is best for the face? (Extra) native organic olive oils are obtained under gentle manufacturing conditions and therefore contain a particularly large number of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids as well as valuable vitamin E. Ideal for skin or face care!
